In District 3, Dorchester, the most closely watched of the district races, Frank Baker appears to have beaten opponent John K. O’Toole, winning by 1,100 votes, according to unofficial results.

“I’m just thrilled about the win,” said Baker, who had received news about the win at his campaign headquarters in Savin Hill. “Now it’s about reaching out to people that were not necessarily with me, and representing all of District 3.”

O’Toole’s campaign manager, Daniel Cullinane, said the candidate called Baker just after 8:30p.m. to concede. Official ballot tallies are still being reported to City Hall. Click here for real-time results.
