Ashmont Grill to host a series of fundraisers for Codman Academy
The Ashmont Grill will be opening its doors every Monday in March to help raise money for the Codman Academy Charter Public School.
Part of the restaurant’s “Give Back with the Grill” fundraising program, $5 of every $38 spent at the Grill’s Monday night "wine club" will be donated to the college preparatory charter school, which serves 145 students.
The Codman Academy, formed in 2001, plans to use the proceeds to stock its new library, at the Codman Square Health and Education Center.
“Ashmont Grill and Chris Douglass have been terrific neighbors, and we are grateful for their support of our new library,” said Bill Walczak, president of Codman Academy Charter Public School Board of Trustees in a statement.
The program, held every Monday night, features a custom four-course menu prepared by Chef Chris Douglass, along with his special wine pairings.
Reservations are required and attendees are encouraged to bring a book to donate to the new library.
