Boston Shines events in Dorchester

Dochester residents will be out in force this weekend from Savin Hill to Codman Square for Boston Shines, Mayor Thomas M. Menino’s citywide spring cleaning.

In Dorchester there will be a slew of events, from tree pruning to sweeping. Below is a list of some of the neighborhood events:

Columbia-Savin Hill Civic Association: Starts Saturday and runs from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Meet at Caspian Way at the top of Savin Hill Park. For more information email billwalczak@gmail.com.

Fields Corner Main Street: Starts Saturday at 9:00 a.m. Meet at Dorchester Avenue and Park Street. For more information email fcms@fieldscorner.org or call (617) 474-1432

McCormack Civic Association: Starts Saturday at 9:00 a.m. Meet at Sharon's Park.

Uphams Corner Main Street: Starts Saturday and runs from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Meet at the Uphams Corner Main Street’s office at 545 Columbia Rd.
