Lucaas Encarnacao (far right) joined by Governor Deval Patrick, students from the Perkins School and Encarnacao’s mentor Solomon Menashi (far left).

Lucaas Encarnacao, a South Boston resident and junior at Boston College High School, recently finished up his service project at the Perkins Elementary School.

A member of the BC High Robotics team, Encarnacao taught a group of third-graders at the school the basics of Lego Robotics every week. The skills learned by students were demonstrated at the recent opening of the Joseph M. Tierney Learning Center in the Old Colony Housing Project.
