Traffic advisory in Dorchester for Avon Walk for Breast Cancer
The city encouraged residents to use public transportation and for drivers to use caution over the weekend because of the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.
The walk will start at 6 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, on the campus of the University of Massachusetts Boston.
The walk will proceed along the Harborwalk through South Boston via Day Boulevard, eventually making its way to downtown Boston.
At 6:00 a.m. Sunday, May 20, the walk will pick back up in Milton making its way into Boston via the Neponset Trail.
The walk will cross Granite Avenue, turn right onto Hallet Street, to Pope John Paul Park, to Neponset Trail, exit at Taylor Street, left onto Water Street, right onto Tenean Street, continue onto Morrissey Boulevard, and right onto University Drive.
