The Dorchester Cash Mob is setting its sights on another local business in hopes of pumping it full of local cash

Blasi’s café and the Fat Belly Deli on Adams Street, is the group’s next target and the restaurant will be sweetening the deal, offering a discount to anyone who mentions they are with the “Dorchester Cash Mob”.

Located at 762 Adams St., the restaurant offers both sit-down dining and subs at the deli next door, providing classic American flavors with an Italian twist.

The “hit” has been set for Saturday and will be the eighth local business visited by the group that aims to invest local money in local businesses with the goal of keeping the cash in the neighborhood.

“We all know that if you support local business most of the money spent will stay in the community,” Larry Marino, who helped organize the group’s Facebook page and social media outreach, told Boston.com in April. “When you spend money at Shaws or Rite Aid that money doesn’t necessarily stay in the community and this is just a way for local people to help out local businesses.”
