Sandra Bullock movie expected to lead to street closures, parking restrictions in Dorchester

Due to the filming of the Sandra Bullock movie "The Heat", Dorchester and Roxbury will see a number of street closures and parking restrictions over the weekend.
Beginning Saturday, Aug. 25 at 8:00 a.m. parking and access will be restricted on Norfolk Avenue between East Cottage Street and Burrell Street in addition to East Cottage Street between Humphreys Street and Columbia Road.
"They will blowing up a car sometime on Sunday afternoon on Norfolk Avenue, so you will probably hear a big boom,'' Joan Tighe of the John W. McCormack Civic Association told its members, ading that "all safety precautions are being taken.''
She said the scene being filmed bother Bullock and Melissa McCarthy, so she is expecting the stars to be present.
The movie will be filming on Sunday from 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. To facilitate stunt work, Norfolk Avenue between East Cottage Street and Marshfield Street, East Cottage Street between Humphreys Street and Columbia Road, East Cottage Street at Robey Street and East Cottage Street at Norfolk Avenue will be closed or restricted.
There will also be traffic delays at Humphreys Street and East Cottage Street.
