Coleman Street in Dorchester unveiled the city’s first “Playway”, a community block party that closes down the streets and encourages residents to get out and meet their neighborhoods and have a little fun.

The event on Saturday was organized by the Coleman Street Neighbors Association with help by the City of Boston. Organizers and city officials hope the program can be expanded to other neighborhoods.
