The Hi-Fi Pizza Restaurant, which was shuttered by the Department of Revenue earlier in the week, will be reopening Friday afternoon, said the owner.

“We have a little bit of cleanup to do, but we will probably be open by 5 p.m. today,” said Prodromos Hatzidtefanou. “It’ll be business as usual."

The eatery, located at 1508 Dorchester Ave., had been seized by the Department of Revenue for unpaid taxes totaling $26,559.89.

It was raided by State Police and state revenue officials Tuesday afternoon. A bright orange sign posted on the establishment’s door Tuesday stated, “seized for non-payment of taxes.”

Ann Dufresne, a spokesperson for the Department of Revenue, confirmed Friday that a payment plan had been worked out.

"The owner has worked out a plan and the seizure has been released," said Dufresne. "This is typically what happens when a business has been seized. Often the business opens within days or weeks."
