Dorchester native and CNN correspondent John King will be sitting down with Boston Globe Editor Brian McGrory Wednesday evening to talk about his career, politics in the United States, and his Dot Rat roots.

Part of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library forum series, the event will run from 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at the museum’s Columbia Point location.

A graduate of the Boston Latin School, King hails from the St. Mark’s Parish and was the third of seven children.

According to his biography on CNN's site, King's career spans more than three decades. The 2012 presidential campaign is the seventh presidential election he has covered. He also moderated three presidential debates during the 2012 election cycle.

He previously worked for the Associated Press.
