Very “A-List”: fashion designer Zandra Rhodes and eponymous Newbury Street boutique owner Alan Bilzerian chose the pink taxi as their mode of transport to a Nov. 30 event.

The next time a downtown office worker spots a bright pink car toodling through the neighborhood, it may not be the result of a three-martini lunch.

The Langham hotel recently introduced an eye-catching new method for transporting its guests and celebrities around town: a traditional British taxi cab painted in the hotel’s trademark pink.

The Langham imported the car in a tribute to its UK roots and had it retrofitted to meet US standards. Now the Financial District hotel is offering use of the cab free by request to “local personalities and VIP guests,” according to a statement released today.

Through the end of the year, non-VIPs can score a stately, possibly powder-scented turn around the park by uploading photos to the hotel’s official Facebook page. One sober, sharp-eyed shutterbug will win a trip not just to the corner CVS but all the way to London on Virgin Atlantic Airways for a three-night stay at the chain’s flagship hotel, opened in 1865.

Those with mixed feelings about being seen inside a rose-colored coach can still buy a miniature version in the hotel’s gift shop.

No, that’s not a Mary Kay Cadillac.
