The Summer Tree Stroll will begin next to the recently refurbished Brewer Fountain.

The Boston Urban Forest Council will present a Summer Tree Stroll through Boston Common and the Public Garden.

The tour will take place from 6:30 – 8 p.m. on July 11, beginning at the newly refurbished Brewer Fountain, adjacent to the Park Street MBTA Station. It will teach participants to distinguish among such tree varieties as oaks, elms, and ginkos and also highlight historic trees in the two parks.

The event is co-sponsored by the Boston Natural Areas Network, the Friends of the Public Garden, and the Boston Parks & Recreation Department. Pre-registration is required. To register, call 617-542-7696 or write to info@bostonnatural.org.
