A downtown organization serving homeless and runaway young people will host its annual benefit in April, it announced Friday.

Bridge Over Troubled Waters, which has provided housing, education, and medical services to youths 14 – 24 for more than four decades, said in a statement that it would hold its gala and live action at the Four Seasons Hotel Boston on Saturday, April 6.

Chuck Clough, chairman and CEO of Clough Capital Partners, and Walter Donovan, chief investment officer at Putnam Investments, will co-chair the event, which will honor R. Robert Popeo, chairman of the law firm Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky, and Popeo.

“Bridge Over Troubled Waters continues its great legacy with caring for troubled youth who may have lost their way,” Clough said in the statement.

“The event brings together members of our community, such as our honoree Bob Popeo, who are committed to invest in these youth through the Bridge programs that help them develop skills, confidence, and the independence they need to fully lead their lives.”

Mayor Thomas M. Menino and Bob Davis, general partner at Highland Capital Partners, are scheduled to conduct the auction, which will include items such as a home-cooked meal from Four Seasons Executive Chef Brooke Vosika, a luxury suite at a major concert at TD Garden, and a ball-boy or ball-girl experience at a Boston Celtics game.

The organization provides both emergency services to keep homeless youth safe and healthy in the short-term and long-term assistance in acquiring homes, education, job skills, and employment. Its services and programs include a mobile medical van, transitional living services, a day program including life-skills workshops, and an emergency youth shelter.

The annual event will take place at 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, at the Four Seasons Hotel Boston. For more information, contact Kathy Cronin at kcronin@kmcproductions.com or 781-356-6616.
