The North End Parks of the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway will be the site of a summer concert series organized by the Berklee College of Music.

The Berklee College of Music has announced two free summer concert series planned for downtown Boston and the Harbor Islands.

The Greenway Sessions will be held in the North End Parks of the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway each Friday through the end of August, most beginning at 6 p.m., Berklee said in a statement. The college will also present free concerts at Georges Island in Boston Harbor beginning at 2 p.m. every other Saturday from July 27 to Aug. 24, it said.

Both concert series are part of Berklee Summer in the City, presented by Natixis Global Asset Management.

The Greenway sessions include recent Berklee graduate Lauren Desberg, performing at noon on July 26. All subsequent concerts will take place at 6 p.m. on Fridays, including The Dwells on Aug. 2, Amethyst on Aug. 9, B’Major on Aug. 16, Siv Jakobson on Aug. 23, and Melanie Lynx on Aug. 30.

Food trucks will also be present in the North End Parks during the Greenway Sessions, Berklee said.

The Berklee Music Fest on Georges Island will include three performances each Saturday, with lineups including Canary, Laura Tenney and the Terribles, and China Fox on July 27; the Bobby Wesley Trio, Baz King, and Charlie the Most on Aug. 10; and Drunken Logic, Eleven Dollar Bills, and Friendly People on Aug. 24.

Georges Island is accessible by ferry from Long Wharf, next to Christopher Columbus Park on Boston’s downtown waterfront. Tickets are available at the Boston Harbor Islands Pavilion on the Greenway, between Columbus Park and Faneuil Hall. Ferries will depart on the hour between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on each performance date.

Ferries to Georges Island are also available from the Fore River Shipyard in Quincy. Visit bostonharborislands.org for more information.
