The following was submitted by Slowey/McManus Communications:

Groups of students at the Pioneer Charter School of Science in Everett gathered pasta for the first annual Spaghetti Bridge Competition. In their biggest school wide science project and competition, students designed and built their bridges out of actual spaghetti. The students weighed their bridges and also administered destructive testing to determine the sturdiness of each bridge.
