As part of continuing celebrations for the hospital's 200th anniversary, Massachusetts General Hospital recently named students from Boston, Revere, and Chelesea as MGH Bicentennial Scholars, including six students from the Fenway's Edward M. Kennedy Academy for Health Careers.

The Bicentennial Scholars--26 students from the class of 2012--will receive a $5,000 annual college scholarship, as well as college coaching and help with SAT preparation.

Kennedy students Nephthalie Antoine, Cidjy Bossuet, Nathalie Garcia, Chantelle Jones, Stephanie Mejia and Shanassa Percy received the honor at a ceremony last week.

The hospital said the Bicentennial Scholars program is a gift to the community in honor of Mass General's 200 years of community involvement.
