A new restaurant and bar offering American fare and plenty of draft beer is set to join the plethora of sports bars near Fenway Park with time to spare before opening day.
The California-basedYard House, named after the 3-foot-tall beer glasses, is scheduled to open its second Massachusetts location at 126 Brookline Ave. on March 11. The restaurant opened at Legacy Place in Dedham in 2010.
While the dining spot will offer a mix of standard and not-so-standard pub food ranging from cheeseburgers to spicy jambalaya, its beer selection will be center stage.
Each Yard House restaurant has a center island bar with enough taps for more than 100 ales and lagers, according to its website. The restaurants' keg rooms also enclosed in glass so diners can take a peek at up to 5,000 gallons of beer ready to be served.
Last month, the restaurantís website posted photographs of the site already under construction and this week announced it will begin the hiring process for the Fenway location Tuesday, Jan. 24, and will be taking application at the Landmark Center.
