School of the Museum of Fine Arts offers look at students' works

More than 150 artists will open their studios to the public this week as part of an open studio event at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts.

The school’s 2013 Graduate Open Studios scheduled for March 8 and 9 will welcome visitors to the creative spaces of graduate students who will show and discuss their works.

The open studio event, now in its third year, will allow visitors to view works in progress and meet artists in an informal setting.

The school’s artists’ works range from painting, sculpture, video, film and sound to performance, animation, ceramics, printmaking. The

The open studios are located at the SMFA Mission Hill building at 160 St. Alphonsus St. The studios will be open from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
