Fenway Park will go to the dogs Saturday when canine baseball fans will be allowed into the park for the first time.
Fans with dogs will be able to see the Red Sox Double-A affiliate Portland Sea Dogs face the Harrisburg Senators Saturday in certain seating areas set aside for the first “Dog Day at Fenway.”
The event will allow attendees to register their dog to join them at the eighth annual Futures at Fenway game scheduled for 12 p.m.
Before the game, there will be a dog parade around the warning track and a photo stations. Rest areas with water bowls and activities will also be set up around the park.
While dogs will be admitted free of charge, dog owners must secure a dog ticket by calling 877-REDSOX-9 and bring a completed waiver to the game.
