Friday night is a benefit concert for the Curtis family's Thanksgiving meal effort, an annual event that has grown to provide Thanksgiving dinner to 1,200 people. In the event's 22 years, 15,000 meals have been served.
The benefit will be at the Eagles Lodge at 55 Park St. in Framingham—the same location as the dinner—and will feature a performance by the band Live Radio, thousands of dollars in raffle prizes including a Bose Wave System donated by Bose, appetizers, and dancing.
Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. The benefit will be from 7:30 p.m. To 10 p.m.
Medway residents Mark and Karen Curtis run the Eagles' All-American Grille and have run much the event with much of their own money and significant volunteer help from the community.
While hundreds come to the Eagles Lodge on Thanksgiving, volunteers deliver hundreds of meals to elderly and shut-ins.
The Curtis' Thanksgiving dinner will be held on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 25 at the Eagles Lodge.
