Downed wires have caused the most problems in Framingham during the storm, according to Assistant Fire Chief John Magri.

He said accidents have been minimal and when he took a ride around town just before noon, the streets were in good shape.

Over on Water Street in the Saxonville neighborhood, Jeff Underwood, owner of Robinsons Hardware, said he has a driver on the road picking up broken snowblowers to bring back to the shop for repair.

Although today's only customers have been those who were forced to venture out because they needed snow removal equipment, Underwood said business was brisk yesterday.

He said that the store has snowblowers in stock, as well as generators, shovels, ice melt, and everything else to handle the storm's prodigious snowfall.

Magri said people should continue to stay off the roads and make sure to call if they see downed wires.
