Town election ballot finalized

Feb. 3 was the deadline for candidates to withdraw their names from the town election ballot, which means the the ballot is now finalized.

The most crowded race is for the two selectmen seats on the ballot. Incumbents Dennis Giombetti and Laurie Lee are against four challengers in their quests to retain their seats: Thomas Mahoney, Jim Rizoli, Nicolas Sanchez, and Eric Silverman.

The School Committee has twice as many candidates as seats. The three incumbents Mike Bower, David Miles, and Carol Phalen are up against Robert H. Bolles, Heather A. Connolly,and Steven Hakar.

The only other race is is to be an Edgell Grove Cemetery trustee. Those two candidates are incumbent Stanton Fitts and his challenger Thomas Pedulla.

The election is April 5.
