The Framingham Public Library is now accepting applications to fill a one-year vacancy on the trustee board, according to library officials.

Anyone interested should send a letter of application to the library at 49 Lexington Street by noon on Thursday, Feb. 9, attention of Ruth Winett, or by email to rwinett@rcn.com.

The application should include the candidate’s qualifications and reasons for wishing to become a library trustee.

Current trustees will meet with the Board of Selectmen for a joint vote on filling the seat.

The new trustee will replace Danielle Barney, who has taken a part-time position in the library’s reference department.
