Entercom Boston announced this week that the company has appointed Framingham resident Adam Ralston as director of marketing, effective Jan. 14.

Ralston will now oversee all marketing efforts for Entercom Boston’s stations: WAAF 97.7/107.3FM, WEEI 93.7FM, ESPN on WEEI 850AM and WRKO 680AM.

Entercom Communications Corporation is one of the five largest radio broadcasting companies in the United States, with a nationwide portfolio of 111 stations in 23 markets.

Ralston previously served as WAAF’s promotion director for over 10 years, before he left to work as the advertising and sponsorship sales manager for the DCU Center.

“I am thrilled to return to the Entercom family and lead the marketing initiatives for such great stations," Ralston said in a statement. "I look forward to working with the team again to grow the brands even further as we embark on a new year.”

Jeff Brown, vice president and market manager of Entercom Boston, said he looked favorably on Ralston's arrival at the company.

“Adam’s knowledge of the market, the cluster, and the competitive landscape, along with his recent experience as a sales professional, will allow him to hit the ground running,” Brown said. “We expect big things from Adam as he works to drive ratings on our brands and to increase revenue by collaborating and ideating with our sales efforts."

Ralston is a graduate of Bowdoin College and resides in Framingham with his wife and daughter.
