Best-selling author Jodi Picoult to discuss, sign books at Framingham school tonight
The New York Times best-selling author Jodi Picoult will hold a reading and discussion of her new novel, The Storyteller, at Walsh Middle School in Framingham tonight.
The event, co-hosted by Barnes and Noble in Shoppers World, will also include a book signing, according to an event on the bookseller's website.
Picoult has written almost 20 books, with about a half-dozen snagging a spot on the New York Times' best-selling list. She has strong ties to New England: now a New Hampshire resident, Picoult moved to Massachusetts in the 1980s, receiving a master's in education from Harvard and working various writing and teaching jobs around the state.
Doors open at 6 p.m. tonight, and the event starts at 7 p.m. Anyone who purchases books from either the school or Barnes and Noble (with a valid receipt) will receive a wristband for a VIP signing line, which guarantees a signature from the author.
Picoult's new book, which she will be discussing tonight, explores the unlikely friendship between a young baker and an elderly man, and a moral dilemma posed. For more information on the novel, visit Picoult's website.
For more information on the event, visit the Barnes and Noble website or call the store at 508-628-5567.
