Framingham State hosting events this week to celebrate diversity
Framingham State University will host a week-long series of events starting today aimed at celebrating diversity in the local community and to raising awareness about diversity and inclusion issues.
All events are free and open to the community.
Events include a documentary screening on Monday about the disabled community; an exhibition by Markus Akinlana, an artist and musician specializing in traditional African culture, on Tuesday; a celebration on Wednesday of women on campus and their contributions to the community; and two events on Thursday, one focused on LGBT issues and the other on the identity crisis of an African-American child adopted by two white Jewish lesbian mothers.
For a formal list of events, visit the university’s event calendar at the Framingham State website.
