Girls lacrosse team heads to semis

Junior Paige Burns tallied four goals as the Harbormen ended Martha's Vineyard's undefeated season 12-8, in a quarterfinal matchup Friday.

Martha’s Vineyard (19-1), the top seed in the South Division 2 sectionals, took charge in the first minutes, going up 5-2, before Hingham answered with four consecutive goals to make the score 6-5 at halftime.

HIngham (16-6), which entered the tournament as the ninth seed, will play fourth-seeded Hopkinton (16-4) in the sectional semifinals. Hopkinton reached the semis with a 10-6 win over Holliston.
