Gilbert Trash sweeps Major League series

Gilbert Trash won the 2009 Major League Championship, beating Cold Stone Creamery two games to none.

Game 1
Gilbert Trash 4, Cold Stone Creamery 1

Brett Tivnan stuck out 12 in 4 innings for Cold Stone and gave up just one run, while Austin Iriving struck out 11 in 5 innings for Gilbert Trash and also gave up one run. Irving, Henry Smith, and Andrew Spaziani were the offensive stars in the 3-run 6th inning.

Game 2
Gilbert Trash 2, Cold Stone Creamery 1

David Hutchins of GT gave up a leadoff home run to Chad Fahey, then struck out out 15 and gave up no other hits the rest of the way. Zack Silva struck out 11 in 5 innings for Cold Stone, but gave up RBIs to Henry Smith and David Hutchins.
