'Art for Animals' in Hingham

The public will get a chance to weigh in on the 2011 calendar for New England Arts of Animals, a Norwell-based group that helps fund therapy, companion, and service animals for people who need them.

The group is holding a calendar preview and arts exhibition at the Derby Street Shoppes in Hingham, starting Thursday and running through the end of March.

During the exhibit, visitors can vote on the works of art they'd like to see in the 2011 calendar. These results will be combined with the decision of a panel of jurors to determine the final calendar.

Sales of the calendar will support the work of New England Arts for Animals.
