Naked baseball jaunt gets Hingham teen arrested
A Hingham teen was arrested on Monday after allegedly running naked through a youth baseball game.
According to police, 20-25 adults and 35-40 nine-year-old children witnessed a man climb over the fence from the right side of the foul line at Lynch Field on Beal Street at 9:36 p.m. and run towards the left center field.
He then jumped the fence and into the passenger side of a waiting truck.
The 12 children on the field stopped playing as the man ran through with a shirt covering his face. He dropped his cell phone in the act.
A short time later, officers found a similar truck in the Hingham Bathing Beach parking lot with several teens nearby.
One of the nearby youths was identified from a photograph on the phone. Police say he admitted that he had run across the field for a $20 bet from his friends.
Oliver S. Sullivan, 18, of Wampatuck Road, was charged with one count of Open and Gross Lewdness.
