burg1.JPGTwo nights after the grand, celebrity-studded grand opening at Wahlburger's in the Hingham Shipyard, the restaurant was filled with regular customers.

From couples on date night to teenage girls out for a night on the town to families of four just looking for a burger, dozens of people crowded in any available seat to taste what has been publicized and built up since early August.

The menu, though small, lists everything chef and co-owner Paul Wahlberg said would be on it - "single decker" burgers costing $4.50 and up; "double decker" burgers going for $6.25, and "triple decker" burgers costing $9.

Turkey burgers and specialty burgers - the favorites of three of the nine Wahlberg children - as are hot dogs and kids meals consisting of grilled cheese or chicken fingers.

Sides - sweet potato or regular tater tots, onion rings, or fries, will cost an additional $2.75 to $3. Frappes in chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, or coffee cost $4.65 for one size.

Even though the food fare is everyday New England, the decor is what distinguishes the restaurant.

Wahlberg touches are on every wall, from photos of both Mark and Donnie next to the menus, to a biographical blurb of the family and their nine kids growing up in Dorchester near the exit door. The ceiling panels even list TV shows, movies, and bands the brothers have had their hands in.

Gift cards are available and the food is all available for take-out.
