Hingham police are searching for two suspects who allegedly attempted to rob a woman making a deposit Friday night at the Rockland Trust Bank on Sgt. William B. Terry Drive.

The woman drove to the bank from her business in Weymouth and had already dropped the cash into the bank’s deposit slot when at approximately 9:30 p.m. a masked man approached her and demanded money. When she told him she had deposited the money, the suspect fled on foot.

The woman described the suspect as a white male, about 5 feet 11 inches tall, and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark grey jeans and a white bandana over his face.

The woman said a second man who had been standing approximately 50 feet away also began running away. Hingham police searched the area and did not uncover any evidence, but they believe the two suspects escaped in a vehicle from a nearby parking lot.
