Derby Street Shoppes will host a Mother’s Day fundraiser for the Germantown Neighborhood Center on Saturday.

Customers at the Shoppes can purchase a potted African Daisy plant and have the option of also purchasing and decorating a terra cotta pot.

Plants will be sold for $10 and pots for $5. All supplies to decorate the pots will be provided.

Proceeds will go to support programs, meals, and other program assistance at the Neighborhood Center.

The Shoppes frequently donate to the Center during different holidays, and felt that Mother’s Day was a good opportunity to be giving yet again.

“The teams at Derby Street and Germantown Neighborhood Center thought this would be a great opportunity to raise some funds for Germantown and provide customers with a gift idea for Mother’s Day. Customers can purchase a plant and decorate a flower pot so each gift will be personalized for your Mom,” said Niamh O’Maille, Marketing Coordinator.

The sale will occur at the Giving House next to R.E.I. from 11 a.m. till 2 p.m. on Saturday.
