A person accused of helping a Hingham psychic steal more than $7,000 from an elderly woman has turned herself in to police.
Hingham police, with assistance from other police departments, had been actively searching for the suspect since obtaining an arrest warrant on April 13. Although the suspect has a listed New York address, police said she frequently visited Hingham and other Massachusetts communities.
Surveillance photos of the suspect were released to the public and media showing her cashing the victim’s check.
Hingham detectives spoke with an attorney representing the suspect, and the suspect agreed to turn herself in.
On Monday, April 30, the suspect arrived at the Hingham Police station.
Teresa Nicholas, 43, with an address in Attleboro, was arrested and brought to Hingham District Court, where she was arraigned on charges of larceny over $250 and conspiracy.
Nicholas was released after posting $500 bail. She will return to court on June 22.
