A 4-year-old Hingham girl was taken to the hospital with non-incapacitating injuries after a postal vehicle hit her while she was riding her bike.
According to police, the girl was riding her bike on Forest Lane at 11:32 a.m. on Monday when she was hit by the left front of the postal delivery van.
The girl was wearing a bicycle helmet at the time. She was taken to South Shore Hospital by Hingham Fire Department paramedics for evaluation.
The van was being driven by a 21-year-old employee. The accident was under investigation and no charges have been filed, Hingham police said.
The childís and driverís names were not immediately available.
