Self-taught guitarist performs Sunday at Hingham library

Michael Sheridan, a self-taught musician who began playing guitar at the age of seven, will present a free performance on 3 p.m. this Sunday at the Hingham Public Library.

His performance is part of the Sunday Sounds Special series co-sponsored by the library and the Boston Classical Guitar Society.

Sheridan’s musical influences are blues, jazz, hip-hop, and Motown. In recent years he has become interested in South American guitar music.

Seating for the concert begins at 2:30 p.m.
