Hingham Police Chief Michael Chief Peraino, Deputy Chief Glenn Olsson and several Hingham Police officers visited Linden Ponds Friday to accept hundreds of toys that were donated by residents and workers for the police department's holiday toy drive.

Olsson is shown above receiving a toy from Yolanda Carale.

At the start of the event, resident and police office observed a moment of silence, and a bell was rung 26 times in memory of the victims at the Sandy Hook School in Newtown, Conn.
