Hingham local participates in charity homelessness event

William Boynton of Hingham, a member of the board of HomeStart Inc., recently participated in HomeStart Inc.’s 16th Annual Winter Celebration, on Dec. 4 in the Great Hall at the Massachusetts State House.
The event recognized achievements in maintaining stable housing for HomeStart clients: families and individuals who have struggled with homelessness.
More than 200 attended the luncheon where former and current clients of HomeStart, board members, volunteers and elected officials gathered to hear testimonials from those who secured permanent housing with the help of HomeStart.
HomeStart is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to end and prevent homelessness in Greater Boston.
