Hingham Trash Mob takes on waste

During Hingham High School's Green Week, (from left) Gray Kinsella (Gr. 11), Ryder Nelson (Gr. 12), Ron Woolley (Faculty), Tom Reilly (Gr. 12) and Julia McLaughlin (Gr. 12) helped rip open bags of trash in front of the school to get a sense of how much the school might be able to reduce their waste stream.

The aptly named "Trash Mob" discovered that 15 bags of lunch trash could have been reduced down to 7 if the school had achieved 100% participation in the composting and recycling program.
