Holliston police are still investigating a break in, reported last Saturday, at Holliston Firearms on Washington Street.

No one has been taken into custody, and the police are not releasing the number or type of weapons or ammunition stolen because it could compromise the investigation, Police Chief John J. Moore said Thursday.

“We’re still obviously following up, but we don’t have any new leads at this point,” he said.

The store, which is located in an antique house with a couple of other businesses, is not immediately obvious as a gun store. A small sign emphasizes the owner’s name, with “firearms” and “ammunition” in smaller type.

It sells a range of rifles, shotguns, and ammunition.

Store owner Mark Heavner was behind the counter of his small store Thursday but declined to comment, other than to say he has been at the location for two and half years.

In a press release last Saturday, Moore said the investigation involves local, state, and federal law enforcement.

“All investigators involved in this incident are keenly aware of the public safety concern and are dedicated to an expeditious resolution of the matter,” Moore said in the release.
