Hyde Park Main Streets is gearing up for its third annual Holiday Pub Crawl through Logan and Cleary squares on Friday.
The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 14 with a singing warm-up at Riverside Theatre Works and move through three of the neighborhood’s popular restaurants: the Hyde, Rincón Caribeño, and Annabelle’s.
At the night’s final stop, carolers will also have a chance to win a bottle of wine and the 2012 Hyde Park Main Streets holiday keepsake ornament in an ugliest sweater contest.
Previous pub crawls have attracted two to three dozen jolly participants.
For the 2011 pub crawl, Cheryl Murphy, a longtime resident and president of the Hyde Park Art Association, brought a group of friends from the Sacred Heart School in Roslindale, where she is an art teacher.
“Oh, we’re having a great time,” she said last year. “It’s fun to come out and sing songs and have a good time, and also a way to help promote the businesses and the restaurants in the area, so that people have an opportunity to sample some of the great offerings that they have.”
