Cycling enthusiast Jessica Mink will lead a 13-mile bike ride along the Neponset River Greenway and other trails on March 23.

It might not look like it outside, but the first day of spring is just over one week away, and some outdoors enthusiasts are preparing to celebrate the season with a bicycle ride from the Blue Hills to Boston Harbor.

Jessica Mink — a cycling enthusiast and member of both the Boston Natural Areas Network board of directors and the Neponset River Greenway Council — will guide a free and informative ride along the full length of the greenway on Saturday, March 23, the network announced Monday.

Riders will gather at 10 a.m. at the Paul’s Bridge parking area, where Brush Hill Road meets the Neponset Valley Parkway, right on the border between Hyde Park and Milton.

The 13-mile ride will include the greenway bike trail and Harborwalk, but also some street riding. Riders are welcome to participate in the entire tour or just part of it, but all participants are required to wear bike helmets.

For more information or to register, contact the Boston Natural Areas Network at 617-542-7696 or info@bostonnatural.org.
