For the second year in a row, Hyde Park Post 78 will play in the American Legion District 6 final, this time against host Walpole Post 104 Sunday afternoon at 4.
The nine-inning matchup will be held at Eldracher Field at Bird Middle School.
The winner will represent District 6 in the national-bound tournament at Holy Cross in Worcester, beginning Thursday.
While Walpole had its seeding secured as the top team in the West Division with a 5-4 win against Norfolk on July 3, Hyde Park clinched its spot in an 11-7 victory over Weymouth Post 79 on Friday night, overtaking Braintree Post 86, which had been in first place in the East Division for most of the season.
Post 86 crushed Cohasset Post 118, 13-4, on the same night, but only would have earned a berth in the playoffs had Hyde Park lost.
