The owner of a Brookline coffee shop is seeking approval from Boston officials to open a coffee shop at the corner of Centre and Pond streets in Jamaica Plain.

The 7 Pond Coffee Bar would be located at 7 Pond St., according to documents filed with the city of Boston’s licensing board.

The shop would be run by Maks Milstein, who runs Café Fixe on Beacon Street in Brookline.

The proposal for the new store in JP calls for a 460 square-foot ground-level shop with a 150-square-foot basement storage room.

There would be no kitchen or prep area. All drinks would be prepared on the bar in front of customers.

The shop would be open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The city licensing board is scheduled to hear the proposal on Wednesday, Aug. 28 at 10 a.m.
