A new initiative by Boston Public Schools aims to give those on the outside an intimate look at a number of the district’s schools.

Dubbed the “Hidden Gems” video series, the program will highlight several BPS schools, their administrators and students over the coming months.

The Mendell Elementary School, which straddles the Roxbury/Jamaica Plain border, was the first school to be highlighted by the initiative, which will visit a new school every month.

More information about the program and upcoming school visits can be found here.
