A family-owned roast beef spot will join several other new Lexington restaurants that will open their doors this fall.
James Garabedian, a Wakefield resident, plans to open Prime Roast Beef and Seafood at Marrett Square, 321 Marrett Road, in late October. The restaurant will take the place of the closed Brewed Awakenings.
Garabedian told the Board of Selectmen September 13 that he plans to serve fresh seafood, salads, corned beef, sandwiches, and soups and chowders made from scratch at the 34-seat restaurant.
Garabedian, whose wife, Diane, is from Lexington, previously owned Ken’s New York Deli in Burlington, where his reubens and pastrami sandwiches were popular.
Buca di Beppo, a national Italian chain, will open soon at 20 Waltham Street, the former spot of Vinny T's. On September 13, the Board of Selectmen approved a victualler’s license for the restaurant, which serves family-style hearty Italian fare.
The Selectmen also approved licenses for Waxy O’Connor’s Irish Pub, a national restaurant chain, to open this fall at 94 Hartwell Avenue.
