The rehearsal is coming.

Revolutionary War reenactors from the Lexington Minute Men will assemble on the Battle Green on April 3 at 2 p.m. to practice their parts for the reenactment of the Battle of the Lexington Green on Patriots Day.

The battle on April 19, 1775 was the first of the Revolutionary War and several thousand people are expected to attend this year’s re-enactment on the morning of Patriots’ Day on April 18.

The Town Celebrations Committee has also released a schedule of events for the 236th anniversary of the battle this year. Reenactments will begin on Saturday, April 16 and the anniversary weekend will conclude Monday after a reenactor playing the part of Paul Revere rides on horseback to the Battle Green at 1 p.m. and a parade arrives at the Minute Man statue on the Green at 2:45 p.m.
