Lexington is launching a monthlong festival called “Revolutionary Revelry” to celebrate the arts, culture and recreation throughout the town starting May 1.
The May festival is the first of its kind in Lexington and has been put together by the Lexington Tourism Committee along with a number of other organizations and Lexington businesses, according to the Tourism Committee.
The first event of the festival will be a May Day celebration Sunday, May 1, at Depot Square from 1 to 4 p.m.
Other events this month will include guided bike tours of Lexington, a Colonial Community sing-along at Depot Square May 11, and a twilight tour of the Burying Ground on Friday, May 13.
On the final day of the festival, May 31, the Lexington Farmer’s Market will open for the season at 1625 Massachusetts Ave. at 2 p.m.
