Lexington High holding Volley for Molly fund-raiser

The third annual Volley for Molly fund-raising event will be held Friday, Sept. 30, at Lexington High School to benefit research into ovarian cancer.

The Lexington High girls’ volleyball team will take on the Reading Memorial High squad in a best-of-five match in memory of Molly Eisenberg, a former cocaptain of the Lexington team who died in 2009 of ovarian cancer at the age of 19.

Volley for Molly will be held from 4 to 9:30 p.m. in the Ralph Lord Gymnasium at Lexington High, 251 Waltham St. Tickets are $5 for students and $8 for adults; proceeds will go to Ovations for the Cure of Ovarian Cancer, an organization dedicated to research, patient support programs, and raising awareness about the disease.
