Six Lexington artists have decorated chairs that will be raffled off to raise funds for the historic Munroe Tavern in Lexington next month.
The themes for the decorated chairs range from a Picasso-inspired piece to one chair called “Bling! Bling!” featuring bright colors and fake gemstones. The six chairs will be given away during a raffle drawing at the Lexington Historical Society’s gala at the Lexington Depot on Nov. 19.
Local artists Joyce Collier Fearnside, Carol L. Rose Camelio, Karen Watson, Natalie Warshawer, Emily Passman, and B. Glee Lucas each decorated a chair for the raffle.
The chairs are on display now at Eagle Bank at 1768 Massachusetts Ave. and the $10 raffle tickets are available now at the Lexington Historical Society’s office at 13 Depot Square. More information can be found online at www.lexingtonhistory.org.
